Okay, that is my top 13 of 2012!! ;) I loved going back through my blog and seeing all of these again! I've noticed a few things looking at these layouts...

1. I really like sketches, lol! Half of them are sketch layouts!

2. Apparently any and all shades of blue are my favorite!! Nothing wrong with that! ;)

Bella Blvd Christmas Wishes Gift Card holders

My boys decided to get their teachers Gift Cards for Christmas this year! So, I decided to make up some Gift Card holders for them using the adorable Christmas Wishes collection from Bella Blvd.

I went with a pocket/envelope style that I have made before. (That always makes it quick and easy!!)

Cute, huh?!? I picked out coordinating ribbon and cardstock for the insert which holds the gift card and a picture of each of them that they wanted their teachers to have. :)

Each pocket envelope (once folded) is 4x5 inches. I cut a 12x5 inch strip of kraft cardstock and then scored it every 4 inches (2 times). I then cut each edge at a slant from one score mark to the edge. Here is a diagram for refrence:

Do the same as above with patterned paper (I cut my paper right under 5 inches to give the little border), and adhere along the edges to make your pocket.

I wrapped the pocket in twine 3 times and covered the knot with a sticker embellishment popped up with foam adhesive.

The insert is cut at 3 3/4 inches and scored and folded to the adjusted height needed/preferred for sticking out of the pocket.

I embellished the inserts with a classic "Merry Christmas" sentiment and tied off my ribbon. As stated above, inside the insert is the gift card and a photo.

Their teachers loved them and I hope you do, too!! 

So, if you need a last minute gift, you can always do a gift card and make up a cute little holder!!! I made 3 of them and it took me less than 20 minutes!!

Amazing

I kept this layout pretty simple, following the sketch closely (besides moving my title). I covered the word "beautiful" with amazing on the transparency, and stitched over it, attaching it to the pp underneath.

I added stitching and punched some circles and snowflakes for added embellishings.

Bella Blvd Christmas layout

Good Morning everyone!!!

I have a layout up on the Bella Blvd blog today! I am in full-swing Christmas mode, so I scrapped another Christmas layout!! ;)

Christmas

 I love scrapping Christmas!! I went off of my photo and pulled out some navy, turquoise and pink (from the kids' pajamas). I then proceeded to grab every other color I could find! I think mixing in a small bit of the traditional red and green from the Christmas Wishes collection makes any color combination look fabulous for Christmas!

First up, I have a card to share with you...

I added in some gems from my stash and some leftover twine from previous kits to make this card. I love the red chevron with the pop of the yellow matted around it, as well as the blue gems and twine. Such a masculine color scheme and a great card to have on hand!

Cousinly Love

I absolutely love that sweet elephant with the balloon, and knew it needed to be used somewhere!! I kept this layout minimal with the embellishments, something I don't normally do, and really love the result!

I used the adorable November Little Boy kit from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits for this layout. It features Crate Paper Little Boy Blue...soo cute!! :)

Unfortunately, this kit is unavailable for purchase. :(  BUT, she does have a few kits left from months back, as well as the fabulous December kit!! :) You can see them all HERE.

Okay, that's all I have for you today!! I am off to do some Christmas wrapping!! Yay!! (Actually, I really do love wrapping, lol!!) ;)
