Boys Rule April kit layout - You Are My Boy

Hi all!

I am going to share a new Boys Rule layout with you all today using the fun and fab April kit!

You Are My Boy

So, for this layout I pulled out the acrylic arrow shape and Pen-touch white opaque pen and went to work! :)  *The kraft cardstock is not included in the kit*

 I did some stitching throughout the layout in a coordinating orange thread....love the touch it gives!

 I love the Studio Calico frames that come with this kit...such a great detail to the photo!

I am so proud of this little guy!! His first year of school, Pre-Kindergarten, and he has been selected as Star Student of the Week 2 times in his class! And the year isn't even over yet! They only select them every other week, and his teacher decided that instead of letting everyone get selected once, they would actually choose the kids that deserve it...and he was the first child in the whole school to get it twice!! I am beyond blessed to have such smart, sweet, well-behaved children! :)

Boys Rule - April Extreme Scrappy Challenge!

Over on the Boys Rule blog today, we have the April Extreme Scrappy Challenge!

This month's challenge is to use at least 5 different patterned papers. Not too hard, right!?!?

Here is my take on the challenge...

Ice Cream Run

I made sure to use 5 separate papers (not just a few a sides and b sides...5 separate sheets). This collection comes with some fabulous prints that are great for cutting up and embellishing with! I also never thought I would use the scrabble-type paper, but when I saw the word "hungry", I had to use with this photo of the boys. We take a lot of ice cream runs in the summer, but for some reason this particular trip got photographed!! ;)

 I used that fabulous white pen from the kit and made my own stitching-type embellishings...so fun! 

I took the journal card and cut out the tag shape and made it into an actual journaling tag! ;)

This was a fun layout to put together! I just love these colors and patterns, and having such fun embellishings to work with is definitely a plus!!

You Are Amazing - Boys Rule layout

Hi all!

I would love to share a Boys Rule layout with you all today! :)

 The new April kit featuring All About A Boy by Echo Park is such a bright, fun collection and Laura-Lee has matched some fabulous embellishments with it! I always love when the kit has coordinating buttons, and those frames are just too cute!!

You Are Amazing

I thought the blues of this collection matched my photo perfectly! The embellishment stickers are so fun with this line! I just love that hot air balloon!!

2. Apparently any and all shades of blue are my favorite!! Nothing wrong with that! ;)

For your challenge, you are to use Sweet Tarts as your inspiration! The colors, shapes, packaging, name, etc...whatever inspires you! Just be sure to include what it was when you upload your layout!

I have used the Sweet Day collection by Echo Park for my layout. I was inspired by the colors and the name.
