Good Thursday morning to all!! I am very excited about this layout!! I had a lot of fun putting it together!!
This is a layout I did using pictures of all my boys on Father's Day 2010. I am very lucky to have such amazing men in my life!! It was such a fun day! We took a little road trip, and had a blast with the family!
I am entering this layout into a few challenges. I decided to try out
Sketchy Thursdays July GDT challenge:
For the challenge, you were to use the sketch above, and pull at least 2 forms of inspiration from the 3 summer pictures.
My first inspiration was the water beads on the cherries:
The paper I used is from MME Twinkle Twinkle Little Boy. This paper has little clear circle spots with glitter in them. It reminded me of the water droplets on the cherries. (I did my best to get a picture of them.)
My second form of inspiration came from the collage of fruit in the popsicles:
I used a bunch of scrap paper and made the picture backdrop into a collage of papers. I really like how it turned out.
My next inspiration was from the wrappers the cucakes were in:
It looked like stitching to me, so I had to throw some hand stitches on my page! (I LOVE me some hand-stitching, lol)
And I think the colors I used really came from all the photos.
I loved this challenge!! Such a GREAT idea!!
I am also going to throw this one into
Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge to use stitching on your layout. This will be my second entry for that. You would think that I would have more considering ALL my layouts lately have been with stitching, lol.
For this layout I used:
- MME Twinkle Twinkle Little Boys paper and Simply Delightful
- scrap paper
- The Paper Studio embellishments
- wood chip letters
- twine
- old stickers I had laying around
- Coloroasis personalities stickers
- Me & My BIG ideas: thread: Jumbo woven labels (quite a few years old)
- Crafters Square-superfine glitter (Dollar Tree)
- acrylic paint
- paperclips
- Crystal Stickers: Cabochons by Mark Richards
Thank you all for sticking this one out with me (it was kinda LONG, lol!) Hope everyone has a great rest-of-the-day!!
Much love,
Jenny ♥
