Halloween layout for HMITM

Hi all!! It seems like it has been forever since I posted anything! I have a fun festive Halloween layout that I have been working on all week, lol. As soon as I saw the current challenge at How Much Is Too Much?, I knew I had to use these pictures. It has given my trouble, but in the end, it is a finished Halloween layout, and I really do like it! So, on to the page:

Here is the current challenge at HMITM (sketch #177, Clowning around) :

Using this picture as inspiration,

my challenge for you is to create a layout using:
* 8 buttons
* 1 flower
* 11 different patterned papers
* one red circle (for the clown's nose)
* Mist or paint

And some closeups:

The journalling reads: You looked so handsome in your costume Mommy made! You loved all that candy! 2003.  I used a craft tag I had, and covered it with the spiderweb paper, added the ribbon and button, and then used a metallic marker to write my journalling.

Used my Cricut to cut out the cute little spiders. I took some tulle, and stitched it on the paper, and then wrapped sections in twine to give a fun effect. And there is my little red circle for the challenge! lol

Here is the side view to show off all the dimension it has. You can also see the watered down paint I used around the edges.

For this layout, I used:
  • The Paper Studio cardstock
  • The Paper Studio paper
  • DCWV Lemon Flower Stack paper
  • Cricut paper
  • MME Twinkle, Twinkle Little Boys paper
  • BellaBlvd mr. boy alphas and sticker collection
  • Jolee's Bling- dimensional stkcers
  • SpareParts by The Paper Studio, brad
  • The Ribbon Boutique ribbon
  • Cricut cartridge - Doodlecharms
  • Crystal stickers 3D alphas
  • Doodlebug Design Inc. Halloween cardstock stickers
  • scrap embellies, spider's eyes and the flowers
  • twine
  • buttons
  • tulle

Thank you all for stopping by, and thank you for the love!!

  1. OMG you have a real life Harlequin....lol Love the costume. Great page, love all the use of those papers, who said 11 pieces was that hard. So many adorable things to look at and I like how you have used the tulle down the bottom and randomly stitched it. Thanks playing along.
