Practical Scrappers "love"ly layouts...{CS #194}

*This is my second post for the day...to see my newest layout using the Boys Rule February kit, click HERE*

Practical Scrappers' post today is all about "love"ly layouts. I chose to do a layout about my boys on Valentine's Day from last year...

I used sketch #194 from Creative Scrappers:

And some detailed photos:

I used the Crate Paper Paper Hearts collection kit for this layout. I loved their "Valentine" collection simply because it wasn't all pink and red, lol. I love the pops of blue/greens and the yellows and browns.

I am also loving ScrapFit's current weekend warm-up (#24) to have clustering somewhere on your layout. I think this layout is pretty perfect for that! :)

You should head over to Practical Scrappers to see all the beautiful and fun "love"ly layouts...great inspiration to get your new Valentine's Day pictures scrapped!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a fabulous evening!! :)

My Favorite Outfit {CCG 204}

Hi Everyone!! If you didn't see my exciting news, check it out here!!

Okay, on to my layout!! I just absolutely loved the color challenge this week at CCG!! I had a lot of fun putting this layout together!!

Here is this weeks challenge:

I used the current sketch at Sketches In Thyme(sketch #53):

And here are some detailed shots:
I hand stitched the ribbon onto the layout, folding it in every inch or so to give it a layered-type look. I used my Cticut and cut out the title word FAVORITE, and used a white gel pen to outline the letters.

Found this cute as a button sticker in my stash and it was just perfect! I adhered it to the creamy yellow pp to give it a nice border/background. I wrapped the photo in ribbon twice, and then wrapped the sticker once, tied it off, and added the flower and button.

Its hard to tell from the photo, but the layout does have quite a bit of dimension. I used a bunch of my pop up adhesives throughout the layout. Some of the squares from the grid strip are popped up, the title words FAVORITE and OUTFIT are popped up, and the cute as a button sticker is popped up.

Here is a close up of the ribbon and stitching. I wanted you to see the blue ribbon I used. I just love the look of it against the brown ribbon.

I am also entering this into ScrapFIT's current Weekend Warmup (#11): Flowers. I am also adding it to Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge: Animals.

For this layout, I used:
  • Cardstock from HobbyLobby
  • ColorBok patterned paper
  • MME pp
  • TPS pp
  • Making Memories- puffy alphas
  • Crate Paper Phrases, Toy Box Collection- journal sticker
  • K&Co, Wild Saffron Die-Cut Cardstock- journal tag
  • Me&MyBigIdeas, Cute As A Button- sticker
  • Stickopotamus, alpha stickers
  • Tim Holtz- mini paper clips
  • Buttons Galore and More- buttons
  • Spare Parts by TPS- brads
  • Pentel Sunburst Gel pen, white
  • Glue Dots, pop up adhesives
  • ribbon and flower from a friend
  • twine
  • Cricut cartridge- Lyrical Letters
Thank you all for stopping by, and I hope you have an amazing day!!

CCG Feature Member!!

Hi everyone!! I am sooo excited to be the Feature Member for ColorCombosGalore this week!! Yay! Doing my happy dance!! lol...Anyway, Thank You to everyone over there for being so amazing!! Special shout-out to Debbi (I love you lady!!) Okay, lol, here is my layout:

Here is this weeks challenge over at CCG:

I used a sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches(July 21st sketch):

Here are some close-ups for you!
I really like how the title turned out. The alpha stickers from Echo Park(For The Record line) with the teal border reminds me of baby blocks!

close up of the journaling and one of the flowers. I had absolutely NO dark teal anything (besides the beads). So, I had to ink some medium teal cardstock to get the correct color. I also inked the thread! lol

I thought this was such a sweet picture, and it needed something to draw your eye to it. I love the look with the "border". The flowers came from a dear friend(thank you Shaunery!!), and I cut the vellum with my cricut to give them one more layer. Attached them all together with teal brads from SpareParts.

Here is the border. I didn't want it to overpower the layout, or the pictures, so i put the vellum over it to give it a softer look. I love the look of the eyelets on the border, too!
I am also going to enter this into ScrapFIT workout #49 : Put A Banner On It

For this layout, I used:
  • ColorBok cardstock
  • scrap cardstock
  • MME Simply Delightful paper
  • MME bellabella paper
  • MME breaking free paper
  • EchoPark For The Record paper
  • vellum
  • CratePaper borders
  • EchoPark For The Record alphas
  • rope
  • SpareParts by TPS brads and eyelets
  • ColorBok Woodhaven cardstock stickers
  • glassbeads
  • Craftsmart bye based ink, teal
  • Cricut cartridges: DonJuan, Doodlecharms, Lyrical Letters
Thank you for stopping by! I really hope you enjoy!! Have an amazing weekend!

Much love,
Jenny♥

my 1st Bath layout

Hello blogworld!! I have a layout today! Actually, its tonight, lol, almost tomorrow! I have done alot of cards lately, so it was nice to get a LO done!

I used sketch 6.16 from Sketchy Thursdays. It is the previous sketch, but I liked it so much, I had to use it anyways:

Here is what I came up with:

and a few closeups:

I am entering this layout into ScrapFIT Workout #45 `Around The House'. You had to find something around your house to use on/in/for your lo. I used Non Slip Grip Shelf Liners. You know, those things you put in your kitchen/bathroom cabinets to keep things from moving around. I cut two strips and used them as stencils, and painted over them with acrylic paint. Then, I used them as accents on the page. I really love the look it gave!!

I am also going to enter this into Sketches In Thyme Open Challenge, as well as Practical Scrappers for use of buttons!

For this layout, I used:

  •  The Paper Studio paper, MME simply delightful paper
  • Cardstock, unknown
  • Non Slip Grip Shelf Liners
  • acrylic paint
  • Glass beads
  • Bag O Buttons by The Paper Studio
  • Brads, The Paper Studio
  • wooden duck, unknown brand (from Walmart)
  • twine
  • scrap ribbon
  • me & my BiG ideas, soft spoken embellishments
  • Cricut Cartridge: Lyrical Letters
Thanks for stopping by!!

Much love,
Jenny♥
