Boys Rule January Winter Kit

Today is my first reveal at Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits!! :)

I was lucky enough to get the January Winter Kit to play with!! It is an amazing kit!

My first layout is my take on Boys Rule Sketch1. Here is my layout:

A few things I've done with the kit on this layout:

• I took a few of the pieces from the me & my BiG ideas chipboard stickers sheet and used them as layering pieces instead of embellishing pieces(we have never been snowboarding! lol)
• I peeled the top layer of the frame off and only used that part (now I have another one ready to be used!)
• after I painted the Maya Road snowflakes, I ran them thru my Xyron machine, face side down, and then pressed them into a loose pile of the glass beads.
•  I took that particular journaling tag that is around my photo and used my utility knife and cut down the bracket of the sentiment. I then slid my photo into it. I thought it gave a nice layered/framed look.

For my second layout, I decided to go with the blue and tan papers:

I love this color combination!

A few things I've done with the kit on this layout:

• I hand cut my banner, and then took thin, black pieces of cardstock to give the impression that it was held on by string/twine.
• I cut one of the snowflake stickers from the EP Winter Park Collection kit in half, so I could get double use out of it.
• I peeled off the top layer of this frame as well, so I have the other part waiting to be painted/covered then used.

 I have had so much fun with this kit! Everything coordinates so well! I will be posting my other projects next week, so be on the lookout for that! And remember, the sketch challenge is going on now! You have until Feb. 14th to do the sketch (and the second one which gets revealed this Friday) to be entered into the drawing!
