Daniel &the Christmas tree

Happy Friday everyone! I'm so glad to be heading into the weekend!! I have a CHRISTMAS layout for you today! Yes, Christmas... lol. It's Christmas in July over at How Much Is Too Much?, and I just have sooo many Christmas pictures to scrap, so I am entering for the first time!! Here is my layout:

These are pictures of my oldest son getting caught messing with Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree!! This was his 2nd Christmas, 2003, and I miss him being so little and sweet! Not that he isn't now, but you know...
Anywho...here are the requirements for playing at HMITM Christmas in July:
Requirements:

2 + photos [at least 2]
1 x Christmas tree image, any size
5 x patterned papers, i.e., Christmas patterns,
5 x metal embellishments, and any other embellishment in increments of 5

I have used 2 photos, I have one very small cardstock sticker of a Christmas tree in the upper right portion of the layout(above the top picture), I have actually used 10 patterned papers. There are 9 squares, and the red with tiny polka dot around the metallic cardstock background. I have also used 5 metal embellishments: 2 metal buttons, 2 metal eyelets, and 1 metal arrow brad. My other embellishments are in increments of 5. Here is my list:
  •  used twine 5 times throughout the layout and 5 times tying on the buttons
  • used 5 red buttons
  • used 5 strands of ribbon behind one of the pictures
  • used 5 pearls
  • used 5 gold glitter stars
  • i used 3 borders and 2 felt squares which = 5
I used one of the current sketches at Creative Scrappers, sketch 163:

Here are some closeups:

I am also going to enter this into Sketches In Thyme for Open Sketch.

For this layout, I used:
  • DCWV SafariKids metallic cardstock
  • scrap cardstock
  • MME Simply Delightful paper
  • MME Lost & Found paper

  • green and red felt
  • Doodlebug Design Inc. cardstock stickers - "Christmas" tag, xmas tree
