This one was alot of fun!! I have soo many baby pictures of my youngest that I haven't gotten to scrap yet, and this seemed like a good sketch to do that! Here is what I came up with:
I knew I was going to use the foam shapes for this lo. I ended up picking my paper, and painting the circles with acrylic paint, then went over them with white acrylic paint to give them the grainy look. I painted the edge of a paper plate to get a rough layout of a circle, then went over it with a foam brush to make a full circle. I used glass beads and hand stitched all the way around the lo. I put a bead on every other stitch. I love the look it gave!! I wrapped the twine around a few times then double stacked two buttons and tied a bow. I hand sewed all the buttons to the lo. I added a bead to the two buttons on either side of the journaling. I love how the turquoise color pops on the neutral-y paper!
My poor baby had to put up with a lot of picture taking, and was extremely upset with me when I put that hat on him!! It is one of my favorite pictures of him when he was a baby!! He still makes that face today, and he just turned 3! Life flies...
I am also sending this to Practical Scrappers for buttons...
For this layout, I used:
- Cricut cart: Don Juan and Lyrical Letters
- Paper: MME, The Paper Studio, Simply Delightful
- Cardstock: unknown from Hobby Lobby
- Crafters Square foam shapes (Dollar Tree)
- Acrylic paint
- Glass Beads (Walmart)
- Bag O Buttons by The Paper Studio
- Twine (Dollar Tree)
- Glue Dots: pop up
Thank you all for stopping by, and I hope you have an amazing weekend!!
