Fancy Pants Designs: Down By The Shore card & some news...

So, I have had this little card made for awhile, but keep forgetting to post it!

It is hard for me to pick a favorite FPD collection (especially with the new mid releases out!!), but this collection is very close to the top! How can you not love that cute, little whale!?!? I ♥ that little guy!

This card came together pretty quickly. I had some leftover corrugated paper from this project, so I started this card with it. I love the Cruise paper, but it was pretty bold to be the backdrop by itself, so I added the red corrugate on top of it. I then placed the banner and  tag, with the buttons and sentiment stickers on top of them. Done. A cute, fun, summer card to have on hand! :)

And the news...

So, I have been designing for Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits for a year and a half, and I absolutely love it and Laura-Lee!! It is so amazing to have a great kit just for boys! Well, there will be some changes happening over there, and I am sad to say that I will no longer be designing for them (for now...). I do not have enough info to tell you all, but I am sure that there will be a post going up soon over at the Boys Rule blog(they are not going away!!). I just wanted to say that I have oh-so enjoyed my time with Boys Rule and will forever be a fan! :) Thank you Laura-Lee for everything!!!!!

Melt My Heart - Boys Rule May kit layout

I have a layout up over at Boys Rule today....

I remember when I posted this particular photo onto Facebook, Laura-Lee told me that it would be perfect for a certain kit that was coming up...and boy was she right! The colors are just perfect!

Melt My Heart
My sweet boys at home on a snow day having a blast! I was able to get them together for about 2 seconds to snap this photo!

I just love this quote in the Swagger collection from Fancy Pants...so true and can be used for really any type of layout you are making! I used my glaze to cover the arrow kraft pins again...just love the look of them.

I used my small snowflake punch and machine stitched them on in random places. I like how the striped paper makes it look like it is snowing on my layout. ;)

Always have to have some type of dimension when working with stickpins. I used some foam adhesive, which is great to stick the pins into.

Okay, that's all! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you all(who celebrate it) enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!!

Fancy Pants Designs - Life's Little Adventures layout

Hello scrappy friends!!

I had some fun this past weekend playing with the Trend Setter collection from Fancy Pants Designs. I decided to scrap a photo of Daniel and myself from his recent field trip that I was lucky enough to go on with him. :)

Life's Little Adventures

I printed my photo on my Selphy printer, and love how the heart shaped stencil from the Artist Edition line fits perfectly over it! I took the heart die and traced around it on some of the Corrugate paper. I also used the negatives from the heart stencil and the Adventure Set stencil and sprayed with some mist to accent my layout.

You can see the pretty shimmer from the mist I used (Tattered Angel's Mel's Diner). I love the navy polka dot paper as the title's background piece. And, those felt flowers add such great dimension and feeling to the layout.

Okay, that's all I have for you today!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Bella Blvd Wedding Celebration week!!

Stephanie is getting married this weekend!!! We are all so, so excited for her, and decided to have a Wedding Celebration week in her honor over at the Bella Blvd blog!! Each DT member is creating a wedding layout about their own, personal wedding!!
Here is mine...

The Reveal
This photo shows just how nervous I was right before we did "the reveal" photos of myself and Justin. I was soooo nervous!! Probably more so because I didn't know what to do! haha!!

I kept this layout pretty simple and did just a few embellishments and some machine stitching.

I am really upset with how this layout photographed!! :(
I spend a lot of time editing my layout photos, and was really bummed when I couldn't get this one to look right. I know it isn't a huge deal, but it really bugs me for some reason! lol

Now, head over to the Bella blog and see the other girls' gorgeous layouts!! Seriously stunning!!! And, be sure to check back all week and see the rest of the wedding layouts!!!

Thanks for stopping by! ♥♥

Bella Blvd Product Focus: Buttons

Hello scrappy peeps!!!

I have a layout up over at the Bella Blvd blog today focusing on their amazing buttons!!!

I really had a lot of fun with this one! (But how can you not have fun with Bella!???!)
;)

Lake Adventure
It is so easy to coordinate any Bella collection with their amazing buttons! I used the adorable large polka dot paper, Beach Balls from the Sand and Surf collection, and punch out the circles, and coordinated them with some Bella buttons framing the layout. Such a fun and different way to incorporate buttons onto a craft project.

Supplies:
Sand & Surf: Alpha+Bits Stickers, Cute Cuts, Ciao Chip Icons, Miniatures, Beach Balls; Designer Tape: Yellow Chevron, Pickle Juice Stripe, Ice Stripe, Blue Gingham, 12mm Combo; Button Market: Aqua Flowers, Pickle Squares, Blues, Red Flowers, Orange Stars, Gulf Squares, Outdoors, Checkers, Tie Dye Masculine Mix, Wood Mix, Neutrals Mix; Flags: Sand and Surf

Be sure to head over to the Bella Blvd blog to see some more amazing button inspiration!!! You can see the post HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Bella Blvd card post

It's Cards On Thursday over at the Bella Blvd blog today, and I have a card up! This card was to focus on the crochet flowers, which I find absolutely adorable!

You're My Fave
I knew immediately that I wanted to do an all red and pink card when I opened my Crochet Flower packs. I went straight to the Kiss Me collection and pulled out the Flutter and Cute Cuts papers. I accented with some of the new Designer Tapes from the 12mm Combo Pack. A great card to have on hand.

 Supplies:
Kiss Me: Flutter, Borders and Cute Cuts; Designer Tape: 12mm Combo Pack; Crochet Flowers: Poppy

 Thanks so much!!! :D
