We have a gorgeous sketch and reveal today at Creative Scrappers!! :)

Here is my take:

I used Echo Park: Note to Self for this layout. Love this collection! (Though, I don't think there has been an EP collection I haven't loved!!) Went so, so well with my photos!!

I used lots of foam adhesive for this layout...

Lots of layers and lots of circles :)

CREATIVE SCRAPPERS SKETCH #219

I posted at Practical Scrappers today, and I thought I would share it here, too! :)

So,  I have a question for you....are you addicted to:

Well, I am!!!

From food to clothes to crafty things...I find myself there almost every day!

While making a new board, CHA favorites and trends, I came across a photo of a wedding cake. It was just too gorgeous and too full of inspiration not to pin!

Gorgeous, huh?! I fell in love with the chevrons, and the overall style of this cake. 

It was screaming, "Make a layout based on me!!!", lol, so I did ;)

I added chevrons across the layout, did the large cluster above them, and added the bands to the top and bottom of my layout.

I did some layering and added some foam adhesive, but kept it minimal as the chevrons are the focus of the design element of the layout.

I absolutely love how this turned out, and have a feeling that I may have a new board soon that is strictly photo inspiration for layouts! ;)

Paradise card (Boys Rule July Kit)

Hi everyone!

A quick post today to share a card I made using the July kit from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits.

This was a quick and easy card, that used my favorite pieces from the July kit: the LYB flags and chipboard bits, twine and the Smooch Spritz spray!!

Boys Rule July 20th sketch: ON THE LAKE

Here is what I did with the sketch:

I just love these pp from Fancy Pants! The designs and colors are so fun, and matched my pictures perfectly!!

I had some extra paper from my spritz spray that I used for my sun on THIS layout, so I used my star punch and made some star embellies.

Today's 10 things is: Buttons!! :)

I love adding buttons to my layouts. It is usually one of the last things I add on, usually that last "bit of something" needed for my page!

For my layout this week, I decided to go with a button border. Well, a clustered button border:

 I went through my buttons and picked out some coordinating buttons for the ever gorgeous Simple Stories Summer Fresh collection!

Boys Rule layout - "splash"

Hey scrappy friends!! :)

I so meant to get this post up earlier today, but it just didn't happen.

My oldest son, Daniel, turned 10 years old today, and I have spent the day hanging out with him! I still can't believe he is 10!! 

Anywho...I have a fun layout to share today!! Over at Boys Rule, our July guest designer, Julie Bonner, has made a fabulous sketch for us!! 

Here is my take on it:

 I chose this fab photo of Daniel from last month on the lake inner tubing. I have so many photos, but I just loved this one. :)

I am also loving the "splash" gemstone title!! Really liking the tone-on-tone look it gives with the adorable LYB pp!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch #217 {Memory Lane}

Good morning!! :)

Have you been over to see the new sketch up at Creative Scrappers?? Well, it is absolutely fabulous!! Designed by the amazing Nicole Nowosad:

 I decided to use the fab Crate Paper Storyteller line again for this sketch. I just love it and haven't gotten to scrap with it near enough!!! ;) 

I chose a photo of my hubby and I from our Senior Prom! :D That was a little over 9 years ago...lol, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. :)

I felt this collection was perfect for this photo...the colors, the embellies, all great!! 

I followed the sketch fairly well, besides going with one photo instead of 2. I even did some machine stitching! Which, I love the look of it, but rarely do it!! I must get myself to do it more!!! 

Love how this layout turned out...one of my faves of the year!! :D

Creative Scrappers Sketch #217

Projects to share...

Hey everyone!! 

Happy Friday!! :D

I have a busy weekend coming up...my oldest son is turning 10 on Monday, and the party is on Sunday! 10!!!! I cannot believe it has been 10 years since my life became so amazing!!! :D Anywho...lots to do before then!!! ;)

I wanted to share some projects with you today that I made for the recent American Crafts DT call. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. :(

But, that's okay, because the team they put together is amazing!!! There is always next year ;)

The first layout I made was Cuddle Pup, which I made for Creative Scrappers Sketch 215. You can find that layout on my post HERE.

The other layout I turned in is called Wonder:

 That is my sweet, little niece on a day at the flower garden. She is just the cutest!!! :D
I used the super, awesome Amy Tan Sketchbook collection for this....gorgeous colors!!!

Here is a card I made, using the Amy Tangerine collection:

And lastly, I made a set of 3 bookmarks using the Chap collection:

I am so in love with this collection...don't be surprised if you see more in the near future with it! ;)

SKETCH #216 REVEAL

Summer (layout for Boys Rule)

Hello, Hello!!! :D

Today was my day to post at Boys Rule...you can see the full post HERE.

 I decided to scrap a larger photo this time around, 5x7. Not something I normally do, but it is one of my fave photos from this summer, so far, and I wanted to focus on it! I am loving this kit, especially for scrapping our lake photos!!!

 I used lots and lots of foam adhesive to pop up my title piece, and also hide my little flag sticks under, lol. ;)

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend, and getting some scrapping done!! ;D

Boys Rule - July 6th sketch

We have our first sketch for July up at Boys Rule! 

Here is what I did with it:

I love the Smooch Spritz!!! I used the Sun Kissed on this layout. I lightly misted the background, and then did some larger splatters. My yellow "sun" is the spritz, as well. I sprayed a scrap white cardstock from my stash, took a paper towel and smeared it out. After it dried,  I used my circle cutter and cut a circle, and then cut it into sections.

I am loving all the embellishments in this kit!! The chipboard bits are awesome, and so are the flags! 

And, of course, the washi tape!! :)

Creative Scrappers sketch #215

My first sketch as a Sketch Designer for Creative Scrappers!! :D

And, I got to design with it!!!

 These photos where taken one night when our puppy(then), Thor, decided that he needed to have some cuddle time with both the boys on the sofa. :)  He is the sweetest little thing, and I miss him being so small!! :(  

I used the amazing Chap collection from AC. I have been wanting this collection FOREVER, lol, so I finally got it ordered and had a blast playing with it!!!

I used some of my fave foam adhesive to give the layout some dimension, and used lots of layers under the photos. I even layered up my title with 2 different types of Thickers. :)
