My Boy {Boys Rule layout}

I am so excited for you all to see the new July kit from Boys Rule, but until then, I have one more June layout. :)

Every summer we take photos of the boys, their yearly photo shoot. Well, I'm not sure why I haven't scrapped any from 2010 yet, but omg, this photo of Jacob was perfect!! I kind of already had the layout planned in my head, and after finding this photo, I knew exactly what I was going to do!!! :D

I did a bit of fussy cutting, made my own button and tag, and punched some stars for embellishing. I used the wooden frame as a base for my title, and added some stickles for accents/embellishing. This was just an easy layout to make, everything fell together perfectly! :D

Embossing Folders!

This weeks feature is all about embossing folders, and wow, did the girls come up with some awesome stuff!!!!

For this post, I decided to go with a card. 

I decided to use multiple folders on 1 project to give an interesting background. I found some coordinating cardstock, to compliment my selected manufacturer, and used up some scraps!! :)

I just love the Bella Blvd Baby Boy collection! It is so, so cute! I also used one of their bloomers as an accent and tied it on with The Twinery twine in my fave color: Flax.

I love the idea of using up some cardstock scraps, and maintaining my pp sheets. Don't you just hate to cut into a full sheet for just a tiny piece???!!! I know I do!!! ;)

So, this past weekend was my husband and my 5th wedding anniversary! 5 years married, 12 years together...lol, what can I say, he is my best friend!! :)

We went to T-town for dinner, a movie and to do some oh-so fun shopping! :)

But, before we left, we shared our gorgeous anniversary cake with our boys:

Of course, I was only able to get one photo of us at dinner, but it's still cute :)

Now, I didn't get any pictures from our day of shopping, but I thought I would share with you some of the stuff I got! :D

Creative Scrappers Sketch #214

This weekend, my husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! :)

And it just so happens that I did a layout about us for the newest CS sketch reveal!! 

Sketch #214:

 These photos are from our family photos taken November 2011. We have done family photos in the fall for the past 3 years, but this was the first time that Justin and I had "couple" photos done. I am thinking that we need to do it every year now. :)

I used the new MME Nostalgia collection for this layout, and can I just say how gorgeous this line is?!?! I love, love, love the colors!!! 

I have also used my MS butterfly punch and the Twinery twine in flax.

CSI Casefile #25

Case File #25 is live and it is oh so amazing!! Debbi has set up an extra/bonus challenge, be sure to check it out and the rest of the reveal HERE!!

Here is my layout:

Evidence: clouds, border punch, wood elements

Testimony: inspiration word "home"

My testimony is on the back of my layout. I stretched the journaling prompts to work for my layout, lol. ;)

I journaled about how it was not long ago when we brought Daniel home from the hospital and how it doesn't matter if we have a lot of  money, or a large house, but that as long as we are together, we are home.

I used some MME, Crate Paper, Lily Bee and Doodlebug pp. Some Bella Blvd sophisticates chipboard and decorative tape, and Maya Road chipboard.

MY NEWS:

I have decided that Case File #25 is going to be my last as a CSI Detective. I have been thinking about it for awhile, and really felt that it was the right time. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at CSI, and look forward to playing along as a member whenever I have time!! Debbi has been truly amazing, and I want to thank her for believing in me and trusting me to be apart of her amazing site!!

I am very excited to announce that I am the new DT Coordinator for Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits!!! :D   

I am so thankful and honored to be apart of this fabulous kit club!! I love working with Laura-Lee, and look forward to working with her more!!! :)

This layout was mostly to focus on that gorgeous TH cardstock as well as the photo of my boys! :)

This layout is a bit busier than I normally do. I went bold with the background and toned it down with the cream alphas and pp, which brings the focus back to the photo, which is a fave of mine! :) But, I'm pretty sure they are all faves of mine ;)

I love this picture of Jacob and me. It is from the zoo, and it's Jacob's first camel ride!! He loved it for about 2 seconds, and then was done!!! ;)

I must say that I am a bit bummed in how this photographed. I have tried and tried to get it to photograph well, and just can't seem to get a good take. This is the best I have gotten, and it doesn't do this layout justice. :(      But, I suppose that happens from time to time, lol! ;)

Creative Scrappers 212: Fun at Grandma's House

Hello all!! :)

 I chose to do 3 photos with this:

I love these sweet photos of the boys playing at Grandma's house! I might be biased, but I think they are the cutest little guys in the world!! ;)

I have had these Lily Bee papers for a few weeks, and have been dying to use them!! I ordered them from the amazing My Scraps and More...love them!!! I thought the photos matched the papers perfectly!!  Gorgeous, gorgeous colors!!
