Such a gorgeous sketch!!! So versatile and fun to work with!! As was the CP Storyteller collection!!  The colors and patterns are amazing! 

This is a photo of us when Jacob was just a few weeks old. Our first trip back to our home town, and one of our first family of 4 photos. :)

I also tucked in a little journaling tag with a bit of info, photo above. I used a sketch from the Creative Scrappers sketch book, and also used some of the Echo Park This and That: Charming collection and October Afternoon 5&Dime; Ormolu Fabric Swatch; The Twinery twine and some pearls.

A Perfect Day *Practical Scrappers*

Hey all! 

It was my day to post over at Practical Scrappers, so I decided to share a layout I made using 2 of my favorite techniques: Black Matting and Distressing   :)

I used some of the gorgeous Farmhouse collection from October Afternoon, along with some twine and pearls. This is one of my all time favorite photos from when Jacob was born. I just love Daniel's face in this picture! He is just too sweet for words!! :)

Boys Rule layout *UR COOL*

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

I have a layout to share with you!! I am still just totally in love with this April kit from Boys Rule!! It is literally AMAZING!!! :P

This layout is of my youngest having a good time playing on our new(then) microfiber couch. He found it just hilarious to have that static-y hairdo!! :)

Those vinyl gears are oh-so-cool!! And, I am loving the sticker sheet from Simple Stories!! It has been my go-to embellishment from this kit. So many amazing things on it!

Sweet *Practical Scrappers CMT: Confetti*

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today over at Practical Scrappers, we are showcasing projects with confetti!! 

Here is my layout:

I have used MME On the Bright Side 1 for this layout...love this collection (I think I say that about every MME collection, lol). I added one cardstock sticker to the layout (Stella Rose). I made my confetti with a standard hole punch and a 1/2inch circle punch. I have actually used the front cover of the collection kit for my punches...you know the sheet that shows a small portion of the pp?? Yep, I am resourceful!! :P

I also cut the "SO HAPPY" from the cover as well and used it!! :)

I am just loving this kit!! Simple Stories has made an unbelievable collection, one of my faves out right now!!

Here is a layout I made using the April Kit:

I used a sketch from My Scraps and More. They are having a blog hop right now, and the sketch just seemed too perfect, so I used it! :)

Some detailed photos:

For the blog hop, you were to use 3 of the favors the DT gave us. For my layout, I used: banner, bow and paper strips.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #204

Hey all!! :)

Sketch #204 is up at Creative Scrappers!! A fabulous sketch with some amazing layouts by the CT!!!!

 

And here is my layout:

I scrapped a few photos of the boys from their photography sessions last summer. The little wallet photos were the perfect size for the sketch! Some of my fave photos!!

 

I used the gorgeous MME Follow Your Heart, Be Amazing collection. Love the colors and the patterns!! I am gonna throw this into the challenge over at MME to use hexagons. :)

Halloween *CSI Casefile 15*

Hi all!! We are in for some rough and tough storms here shortly, so I am going to make this a short and quick post!! :)

CSI Casefile 15 is live and AWESOME!!!!!

Here is my layout:

Evidence: book pages, monsters, metal, zig-zags(chevron), stacking/layers

My metal is a few staples in the upper left corner.

Testimony: I would categorize my journaling as documenting an adventure. My journaling cards read:

Daniel as the scary, spooky ghost & Jacob as the Red Samuri Power Ranger!! Trick-o-Treat time!

We always have to get our group, family pics taken before we go trick-o-treating! :)

Practical Scrapper: Baby layouts

CSI Casefile #14 *Innocence*

Such a soft, sweet, beautiful case file!

I have chosen to do a layout about my adorable little niece...this is her at not quite 1 month old... 

Testimony: I opted to write a haiku poem and use the inspiration word: innocence

precious baby girl

full of joy and innocence

makes the world go round 

Evidence: ruffles, wet-medium, sanding as a technique

I used my tulle to make ruffles, I painted my wooden doily with an acrylic paint dabber, and then sanded the edges to give a soft, worn look. 

The reveal over at CSI is amazing. It is so fun to see how everyone interprets the cases each week!! And, this time around is no exception! You can head over HERE and see this beautiful reveal for yourself!! :)

Great Adventures {Practical Scrappers Baker's twine on layouts}

Hi all!

Practical Scrappers is featuring layouts using Baker's twine today! 

Here is my example:

I decided to use my baker's twine in a different way then I normally do. I used it to outline some of my layered pp. I really love the end result!

I used the new MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally for this layout...love the colors and embellies for this collection!!

Goodbye March, Hello April!! with Boys Rule...

Hello everyone!!

Can you believe it is already April?!? I just can't get over how fast the year is already flying by!!

I have my last layout with the March kit from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits. It is for the March 30th sketch. Remember, you have until April 14th to get all 3 March sketches done to be entered into the prize drawing!!

Here is the sketch:

And my layout:

I oh so love the big, bright polka dot pp!! I had been saving it because I thought it would make a great background paper, and I just love it!! I didn't feel this layout needed a whole lot with the bright colors and the bold polka dot, so I kept my embellishing to a minimum. I cut some stars, and the banners, added the twine, buttons and a few phrase stickers and called it good!

So, how awesome is the Awesome line from Simple Stories?!? So awesome that it is in the April kit!! :D

So in love with this kit!! I know that Laura-Lee is having some minor issues getting in all the pieces to the kit, but as soon as she gets the rest in, she is going to upload more pictures of it! I have received part of the kit, and let me tell you, these papers are oh so gorgeous!!! Can't wait to get the rest, and get to scrappin!! :)
