backyard photo op

Happy Sunday everybody!!

I have a layout today that I did for ColorCombosGalore. This weeks colors are just great!! I found the perfect pictures of my boys to use for it! Here is my layout:

Here is CCG challenge #202:

Here are some close ups:

I used the current sketch at PageMaps:

And I also used the current challenge over at The Paper Variety:
Just create a paper project using 3 criteria either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally :)
I chose the top row of use faus, hand, or machine stitching, making a multi photo layout, and to use journaling strips.

I had a hard time getting this layout to photography correctly. It is photographing too yellow, but I did the best I could!! *(I have updated the top picture. It shows much better.)* I took the background paper and white/gray washed it to make it the correct color. I hand drew the knots on the letters and then white/gray washed them as well. I hand stitched the two layers on with black thread, and also hand stitched the buttons on with the same black thread and the twine.

My journaling reads: "We took these pictures for an American Eagle/77Kids photo contest. You were supposed to photograph your kids wearing their 77Kids clothes. Well, we took the photos, but forgot to enter them! Oh well, at least the boys had fun taking the pictures, and we got some great shots out of it!

I am also going to enter this into the current Fabulous Friday challenge at Frosted Designs: use circles on your project!

For this layout, I used:
  • TPS black cardstock
  • TPS paper - "Old White Fence" (background)
  • Colorbok paper (red)
  • MME Simply Delightful paper (darker green)
  • MME Where The Heart Is paper (light green polka dot)
  • EchoPark - For The Record - alpha stickers
  • Making Memories - puffy alphas (red and  green)
  • Colorbok - Woodhaven - foil stickers (green border)
  • K&Co Wild Saffron DieCut cardstock, journaling tag
  • AR Creations - baker's twine (annie42.etsy.com)
  • TPS SpareParts eyelets and brads
  • TPS Bag O Buttons
  • buttons from stash
  • Treehouse Studio wood letters (Hobby Lobby)
  • acrylic paint
  • Cricut cartridges: Doodlecharms and Sentimentals
Thanks for stopping by!

    first ice cream cone {CCG challenge 201}

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing fantastic! I have a layout of my youngest from a few years ago. Got the cutest photos of him eating his very first ice cream cone! These photos just went perfectly with the current challenge over at ColorComboGalore. If you haven't been there, you should!! They have amazing challenges, and everyone is super nice!! Okay, on to the layout!!

Here is the challenge 201 from CCG:

I also used the current sketch at Sketchy Thursdays (7.21):

    Here are some detail shots:

I only used a small amount of the pink, again, trying to not make it too girly. I painted the chipboard white, then lightly edged them with the aqua color. I hand stitched the fabric as a small border to the photos. Used my fiskars border punch on the pink, and my cricut to cut the tag at the bottom. Stamped my leaf on vellum and cut out the image. I didnt want the leaves to be too overwhelming, seeing as they didn't fit the topic. Added my embellishments, and was done!

I am also entering this into Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge: Buttons!!
    For this layout, I used:

    • Colorbok cardstock(white)
    • DCWV SafariKids cardstock(pink)
    • MME Twinkle Twinkle Little Boy paper (teal/brown polka dots)
    • MME Where The Heart Is (brown patterned paper)
    • Vellum (unknown)
    • Stampabilites-Dye Ink Pad (brown)
    • Stampin Up(2003) leaf stamp
    • Sassafras-In a stitch blossoms

    another year older

Hello and Hi!! Hope everyone is doing well!! I have a layout for you all today!! Another one of my boys! What can I say...they are my life, lol. Here is my page:

This layout is based on sketch #165 at Creative Scrappers:

and the current challenge at ColorCombosGalore:

    Here are a few closeups:

This one was a lot of fun to make!! Those pictures are from annual pictures last year. We take pictures every year right around their birthdays. I really didn't use very much of the vanilla color, just what was on the embellishments and torn paper. I hand stitched the ric rac onto the banners and the paper at once. Lemme tell ya, that wasn't easy, lol. I dripped acrylic paint to achieve the designer's challenge, but I didn't do a whole lot. I didn't want it to overtake my layout. I really love my end result, and hope you do too!!

    For this layout, I used:
    • Colorbok cardstock (black)
    • CDWV SafariKids cardstock (creamsicle)
    • Cardstock: unknown (cool blue)
    • The Paper Studio Paper: Enchanted Light Blue (ice blue)
    • AVD Vibrant Paper (creamsicle)
    • MME Twinkle Twinkle Little Boys (ice blue)
    • Magic Scraps: vellum words
    • Acrylic paint
    • GEMSTONES by The Paper Studio
    • SpareParts by The Paper Studio: brads
    • Affinity by The Paper Studio: Cardstock stickers (creamsicle)
    • Crate Paper Border stickers (filmstrip and numbers)
    • May Arts Black Ric Rac
    • Bag O Buttons by The Paper Studio: buttons
Hope everyone enjoys and has an amazing day!

OSU Birthday card for my son

Hi everyone!! I have a card to share with you today! Tomorrow is my son's 9th Birthday(ya!!), and he is having an Oklahoma State football party! It is my husband and my alma mater, along with a lot more of our family. He is just growing in the right direction!! lol. Anywho, on to the card:

I used the current sketch at CardPatterns. Sketch 123:

I honestly used just a bunch of scraps from my stash to make this. I stole the football from one of the extra invitations, and cut the OKState symbols from some of our old catalogs. I used some twine and some scrap black ribbon. I did use my new stickers from the WeScrap kit I won on the last challenge. Those are echo park For The Record by Bella Road.

Okay everyone! Have a great night, and I will talk to you all soon!!

    Much Love,
    Jenny♥

Good evening everyone! I have a cute, fun layout for you today!!

I used the current sketch at Sketchy Thursdays:

    For this layout I used:
    • Cricut Cartridge: Doodlecharms

    first Easter layout

Hello! How's everyone's weekend going?? Mine has been nice and relaxing in the indoors out of the 107+ heat! I have been working on the new CCG challenge this weekend, and finally got it done! It was a tough one for me, girl colors!! Well, just one girl color, but it makes the whole thing look girly, lol. Of course, I don't have any girls, so I worked it the best I could, lol. Here is my layout:

This is a picture of my oldest and me on his very first Easter.

I used sketch #51 over at Sketches in Thyme:

And here is the current challenge at ColorCombosGalore:

Here are some detailed pics for you!!

Don't you just love the pinwheel flowers?! Those were from Hobby Lobby. I took them of their wooden rods and hot glued them back together and added the buttons. I also made those cute little bees out of buttons! I used brads for the antenas, lol, I just love them!!

I thought these wooden letters worked perfect for the title.

I love how dimensional this is!

    side view of title

I LOVED how this turned out!! I used individual alpha stamps to make it staggered, and it just looks so good!!

    For this layout I used:

    • Paper: The Paper Studio and some scrap paper
    • Cardstock: DCWV SafariKids cardstock and scrap cardstock
    • CraftSmart ink pad (fuschia)
    • Stampin Up ink pads (mint melody and basic black)
    • acrylic paint
    • PLAID wooden letters
    • EKSuccess Image Tree wooden rubber stamps(antique typewriter lower abc stamps)
    • Stickopotamus stickers
    • SpareParts embellisments
    • Cuttlebug
    • pinwheels
    • buttons

wee t-ball Sketchy Thursdays 6.30 challenge

Good evening! I have a two-page layout for you all! I am working on an album of just my son's sports pictures, and here is another one for you:

This is based off of the current sketch challenge at Sketchy Thursdays:

Here are some closeups for you to enjoy :)
    page 1

    page 2

believe it or not, this is my first banner on a lo

Loved these K&Company stickers! They were embossed!! So cool...

Another K&Company sticker, and a Sassafras card. Perfect that it was number 5 and had baseball stitching around it!!

This is just a plain foam shape from the Dollar Tree that I painted with acrylic paint, then hand-stitched the red stitches. I used my Cricut to cut out the title (lyrical letters cartridge), and used GlueDOTS pop up adhesives to give it dimension.

I loved that these eyelets were the same color as the baseball bats!! Thought that was such a cool touch!

I am also going to enter this into Paper Issues: Red, White and Blue challenge. Its not the festive r,w & b, but I did use those colors, so I think it will work!!

    For this layout I used:
    • Cardstock: DCWV SafariKids
    • Paper: The Paper Studio, GlitzDesign Kismet
    • Sassafras- Paper Whimsies-tailored deck
    • Foam shapes (Dollar Tree)
    • Acrylic paint
    • Spare Parts by The Paper Studio
      • brads
      • sports brads
      • eyelets
    • metallic, shiny stars from my stash (unknown)
    • twine
    • K&Company Tim Coffey embossed stickers (kinda old)
    • Stick-A-bilities by The Paper Studio-alpha stickers
